    Multivarious Games Kickstarter Presents: "Dangerous"

Based on "The Most Dangerous Game." The new Ohio-based game developer studio, Multivarious Games, has a Kickstarter dedicated to bringing local multiplayer fun to a console near you.

A few weeks back I received an invitation to attend a local gathering for Multivarious Games’ Kickstarter launch. A new game development studio launching their Kickstarter for their XNA based game, Dangerous. A game which is partially influenced by Connell’s short story, “The Most Dangerous Game.” A game that gives me great pride to write about, considering it hails from a city I call home, Columbus, Ohio.

My Life As A North Campus Video Employee

I Worked In The Front Room Area. The Shelves Were Well Stocked This Day. That Doorway You See Would Eventually Become The Owner's Office. Because They Had To Close and Sell Stores To Make Rent.

For the past three years I've worked at Columbus, Ohio's North Campus Video -- I've been documenting on a semi-weekly basis my experiences at the 31-year old mom and pop business. What you should know is this is a completely biased account of how one particular ex-employee saw in the underbelly of a Columbus landmark. Unfortunately, the manner in which I was laid off has actually stayed my blade [for the time being]. My original account of my tenure was going to be poisoned-tipped and rage-filled, but in the interest in the off chance of me getting the little details wrong -- I'll leave names out.

Columbus, OH: 80 year-old woman w/knife + Whitehall Police [Video]

August 2nd, outside of the Whitehall Walmart, an 80 year old woman; wielding a small knife was seen as a threat to the officers on the scene as well as the surrounding citizens. Using a wristlock the female officer subdues the woman by slamming her to the ground.  On the one hand, this elderly woman does have a knife and can inflict damage with a weapon. On the other hand, really? Slamming her to the ground?

I'm posting this crazy late and I have to get sleep...if there is anyone who has more info on how this began [and how it ended] I am sure more people would like to know.

UPDATE: Here's the NBC4 article. It turns out the 84 year old woman is struggling from dementia. [via DonnaNBC4]

    Go Bucks?

    Tressel lost his keys...

I guess it is that time again.  This is where I say...the Ohio State University are my favorite football team and I'm so into college football right? Well, the truth is...I could honestly give a damn if OSU loses or wins in the largest scheme of things.  I'm not a huge fan of college football and therefore, when it comes to my Alma Mater...even less enthusiastic.

However, there are times where my interest are trully piqued.  There are times where I get kinda all caught up in it.  It's fun, and off-putting afterward usually. I can't help but think, "This is what people are like all the time in Columbus?", by people I mean those that quote, "Bleed Scarlet & Grey".

More on this after the jump...
