I think we belong from the same era of gaming. An era where having your friends by your side, in the same room, having fun together with gaming, was usual. I mean, even single player games, at that time, were played as co-op, because everybody was in, trying to advance and supporting. But co-op, or even competitive two player, like sports or racing, was where the fun really was with some friends. I still own my ps2, have 2 multitaps and 8 controllers, but never got to use all of that at the same time... hopefully one day i will.

Great article!

Isaiah T. This is one of those blog entries that *needs* to be read.

I've linked it to one of our visiting professor Janet Eyre who's a childhood brain injury researchers, and she's currently developing video games that rehabilitate the kids and the teenagers who had a stroke, by encourage the usage of limbs that is more a struggle to be used. It's a reminder for the ones of us who are lucky enough to not be in that position, it's so easy to lose sight on how much good this media could do.

It's true that as gamers, collectively we (that includes myself) have this habit of arguing over things like "no that gun is not FUCKING EXPLOSIVE ENOUGH", while completely forgetting that this media could have, and really should be, catering for a far bigger audience than the two and half IIRC channels of /v/irgins.

So, thank you again.

huangedison comments on Artist Corner: Greg Hollimon Interview

Versace replica watchesI really enjoyed this article. I don't live in Chicago, but I think Mr. Hollimon's Principal Blackman is one of the most subtle yet over-the-top hilarious performances I've ever seen. Is Greg Hollimon doing theater in Chicago? He's such a gifted performer I would definitely go out of my way to see him in a play (or movie or tv show).

Isaiah T.
